It Seems Meghan Markle Broke the Queen's No.1 Super Strict Style Rule

Meghan Markle has a very clear sense of style. But now that she's about to marry Prince Harry, royal watchers are scrutinizing her every fashion move and wondering if it breaks protocol. Frankly, some of the royal dress code protocol obsession seems way old-fashioned, like the debate over whether it's ok to wear a suit or even something as harmless as a crossbody bag.  

Now, a royal expert is weighing on what she says is the one and only strict rule expected by the Queen when it comes to Middleton and Markle's fashion choices — and it sounds like something we could hear our grandma saying. 

"You never see a royal without their nude stockings. Meghan, from what I can see from the engagement photographs, it doesn't look like she was wearing tights or stockings," royal expert Victoria Arbiter told Insider. "I would say that's really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires."

Interesting! Middleton seems to wear stockings with her outfits, InStyle points out, but Markle looked like she went without hose for her engagement photos. Not many celebs wear nude stockings on the red carpet, after all. Maybe Markle could convince the Queen to change her mind on this one — her future sister-in-law would probably be so thankful!
