Cardi B. Shut Down a Body Shamer in the Most Epic Way: "Let Me Fat in Piece"

Cardi B. tells it like it is, whether that's explaining exactly where she feels her pre-Grammy jitters — or putting an Internet troll in her place. We're still doubled over laughing about the remark the rapper made to a fan on Instagram, and from here on out, we'll be using "fat" as a verb. 

Let's review: the rapper recently took to social media to share a clip of herself singing Ahora Dice. After mouthing along to the lyrics in a seated position, Cardi took her Instagram performance up a notch. Standing to reveal a skintight, sexy dress that exposed her toned midriff, the performer rapped along to the music while swishing her waist-length hair back and forth. 

That's when a fan felt moved to comment: "Is there maybe a Kylie Jenner secret that we need to know about lol Just asking." Uh, come again? Frankly, we don't see any sign of a potential baby bump. But, Cardi took the comment in stride and responded with a line that should be trademarked for a mint. 

"No b**ch I'm just getting fat. Let me fat in piece [sic]," the "Bodak Yellow" singer clapped back. Let me fat in peace. (!!!) It's genius! It's beautiful! And it's definitely a phrase that we'll be using over and over and over, till someone begs for mercy. 

In all seriousness, we love the rapper's body-positive attitude. And, to the fan that dared to troll her: have you seen Cardi's nails? Of course she'd claw back!
