Billie Lourd's Latest Tribute to Her Mom Carrie Fisher Will Make You Tear Up

It's been nearly a year since Billie Lourd lost her mother, Carrie Fisher. As she works through her grief, the Scream Queens actress is committed to honoring her mom's legacy. And, she wore a hairstyle that did just that at the December 9 premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. 

Lourd channeled a distant galaxy in a floor-skimming, silver gown by Tom Ford. The dress had a celestial glow, and the actress paired the style with silver bling and an otherworldly manicure by nail artist Mary Wolf. 

But, Lourd's poignant hairstyle is what has us grabbing for hankies. By wearing a crown of braids, the 25-year-old saluted the iconic look Fisher wore in her role as Princess Leia in previous Star Wars films.

Stylist Christian Wood was responsible for the touching 'do, and he also captured star-flecked footage of his client rocking the look. We agree with the awed murmurs of "so pretty," "so good," here — don't you? Take a look at the video, and look out for Lourd's spectacular lashes. 

Throughout the year, Lourd has nodded to her mother's legacy with thoughtful posts and appearances. In July, she posted a throwback snap referring to her mom as: "a princess and now a legend." And in April, the young actress attended the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida.  

At the event, Lourd told her mother's fans: "She loved you, because you accepted and embraced all of her: the strong soldier of a woman she was and also the vulnerable side of her who often openly fought her own dark side, knowing early on that we all have a dark side of our own . . . Nothing about her was a performance."
