Angelina Jolie Has Been Looking Like a Haute-Couture Exotic Bird Lately (And We Mean That in the Best Way)
Jolie is making plumage pop this awards season.
Is Angelina Jolie starting a light-as-air trend? On January 11, the Then They Killed My Father director attended the Critics' Choice Awards in a snow-white dress that made our jaws drop.
Designed by Ralph & Russo — the same label that stitched up Meghan Markle's gown for her engagement photos, by the way — the custom dress had a strapless neckline decked with an etheral cloud of white plumage.
Did we mention the red-orange lip? (It's so on-trend this season!) Take a peek at the look, which also included velvety silver stilettos, teardrop earrings from Neil Lane, and a red manicure that popped.
Jolie looked like an haute-couture exotic bird, and we mean that in the we're bowing down kind of way.
This isn't the first time the actress, writer, director, and human rights advocate has worn feathers in recent days. For the Golden Globe Awards on January 7, Jolie wore a sheer black gown by Atelier Versace. The dramatic look had scores of dark feathers at the end of its sleeves.
If you ask us, Jolie has never looked more fly. There's something so dramatic and old Hollywood about feathers, and we're loving star's modern interpretation of the embellishment.
And, this just goes to show that superwomen think alike. After all, Beyoncé also knows her way around after a feathered look.
