12 Pairs of Incredibly Chic Shoes and Boots for Ladies with Wide Feet

You never have to feel foot-shamed again. Promise.

By Katherine Kluznik

When you have wide feet, there’s a very particular type of shoe that designers seem to think is just your style. You know exactly the shoe I’m talking about: It’s got a roomy toe box. Low-to-no heel. It comes in up to three drab colorways. There might be Velcro involved. In other words: It’s orthopedic.

I’m not really sure how this sad state of affairs happened — I mean, why should having wide feet narrow my fashion options so dramatically? What about my above-average footbed says, This woman clearly has no style whatsoever?

This season, though, all that seems to be changing. Suddenly, stores are flooded with flats and heels that aren’t just passable but actually really, truly stylish — like leopard booties with petite kitten heels, sky-high pumps in super-soft suede, ballet flats tied off with a bow, and ... well, just check out all the wide-width options that promise to end fashion industry foot-shaming for good.
