Velvet has suddenly taken over the home goods world, and count us totally OK with that. There’s no corner of the market that hasn’t been covered in this luxe and sumptuous fabric, which is ideal since no other fabric provides such smooth tactile bliss or a sink-in and stay there feeling that's hard to resist, especially in winter months. With the temperature dipping ever lower, this is one trend that came just at the right time.
Today’s velvets come in a colorful array of hues and textures, from slub to crushed to plush. Best of all, you don't need to spend a lot of money to give your space a velvety upgrade: Ease in with some accent pillows, a throw, or curtains. Of course, if you decide it’s time to swap out all of your furniture for velvet varieties, you'll have a host of things to choose from.
