Emily Simpson Told Her Daughter She Was Too Young For Acrylic Nails and *This* Happened
The Real Housewives of Orange County kiddo, Annabelle, had a hilarious response when her mother denied her request for false lashes and nails.
Emily Simpson's daughter, Annabelle, loves to make a style statement. The Real Housewives of Orange County mom opened up about her beautiful, spirited little one during an interview in RHOC Season 17, saying: "Annabelle just like came out of the womb with this huge personality. She’s been interested in modeling for many years. I just wanted to make sure that she’s to the point where she would take it seriously, and I feel like we’re finally there.”
Though Emily supports Annabelle's ambitions and feels like she's ready to pose like a pro, the Orange County mama does not feel like Annabelle is ready for everything yet. As she revealed in a recent Instagram post, she recently informed her 10-year-old that she's too young to wear acrylic nails and false lashes.
So, how did Annabelle take it? Emily's post captured the young model's reaction and it proved that, indeed, Annabelle has a "huge" (and witty) personality.

To caption her October 29 Instagram post, Emily wrote: "When you tell your 10-year-old [kid] she’s too young for false lashes and acrylic nails ... so she improvises. I give her an A for creativity."
Annabelle's creative improv included affixing long strips of paper to her eyelashes and her nails, as a stand-in for the acrylics and falsies her mother put the kibosh on. To score the video of Annabelle batting her paper lashes, Emily used the Iggy Azalea song: "Fancy."
The cute post caught the attention of RHOC alum Alexis Bellino, who commented: "Omggggggg I’m dyyyiiinnnggg!!! She’s so fab."

As the clip above proves, Annabelle's not the only one in Emily's family who can put a funny spin on a beauty video. In the Get Ready with Bravo clip, Emily said, "I wanted to share with you all, but also with [my husband] Shane, how I get ready for a date night." As Shane quickly learned, this was somewhat more of an interactive experience than he was expecting.
"You gotta start out with a clean face," Emily says. However, because she had already done her makeup, she decided she would put some of her skincare products on Shane's face instead of on her own.
While Shane was happy to have Emily add True Botanicals Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream under his eyes, he drew the line when she tried to add her "absolute favorite" concealer by Tarte.
