Zendaya Just Cemented Her Status as 2017's Rising Style Star
Rihanna's fashion protégée killed it at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
No wonder Rihanna—the all-mighty fashion queen—is obsessed with this fashion princess. After the 20-year-old Zendaya attended the 2017 Met Gala in a show-stopping Dolce & Gabbana gown, RiRi took to social media to praise the young singer's beauty.
"Brown goddess," Rihanna wrote, next to a photo of the painfully gorgeous look. And, yes, Zendaya flipped out after receiving the compliment. She wrote a gracious comment of thanks under Rihanna's snap, and also had a relatable meltdown on Snapchat. (What would you do if Rihanna called out your style? Exactly!)
At last night's MTV Movie & TV Awards, the rising style star locked down her fashion-goddess status. In a departure from last week's ethereal cloud of curls, Zendaya wore her hair short, straightened, and curled. She stunned again in the dress department, swapping out a baroque gown for a sheer, ankle-length style by Zuhair Murad. The sheer dress had a plunging neckline and was decked in shimmering crystals.
Rightfully, Zendaya was feeling this much look as much as we are. "I think green is my new power color," the multi-hyphenate talent wrote on Instagram, next to a green-apple emoji. Crisp and refreshing, indeed!
