The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Mishaps Continue as the After Party Gets Shut Down by Cops
Yet another hiccup for the show in Shanghai.
It's been a bumpy road for Victoria’s Secret's first-ever VS Fashion Show in Shanghai. First, huge stars like Gigi Hadid and Katy Perry dropped out of the television special, allegedly due to visa issues. Other models in the show couldn't secure visas either, and some sources had it that China combed through the social media accounts of everyone involved looking for offensive material.
Then, fashion bloggers reportedly ran into the same visa problems and couldn't cover the show. Chineses officials also allegedly needed to approve every single Victoria’s Secret press release about the show.
But despite everything, the runway show itself went off this week (with just a little stumble). But then, when everything seemed in the clear, Women's Wear Daily reports that Chinese authorities shut down the VS Fashion Show after party early.
The VS Angels and models were there — Bella Hadid, Lais Ribeiro, Taylor Hill, and Grace Bol included — but the whole crowd had to clear out right before DJ Victor Aime started his set and as the clock was about to strike midnight. WWD reports that uniformed police officers came in to disperse all the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after party attendees and everyone went back out into the cold.
We're guessing none of this behind-the-scenes drama will make it to the show's official November 28 broadcast, but it's sure to be a spectacle nonetheless.
