What Is a Vaginal Steam? Check Out the Luxe Treatment That Will Leave You Feeling "Delightful”
Don't knock it 'til you try it.
People will try just about anything in the name of beauty, especially when you have extra cash to blow on it. But, in a world that is constantly evolving, your grandmother’s cold cream simply won’t cut it anymore. Today, beauty and wellness lovers are on the hunt for unique and ultra indulgent treatments to ensure the best possible result. This summer we decided to call upon KK Glick (aka Jill Weber's right hand gal Vanessa on Odd Mom Out) to join our Treat Youself challenge by trying some of the most outrageous treatments on the market. And her first stop is none other than the eye-opening vaginal steam. Yep, you read that correctly.
For those who haven’t heard of the v-steam, it is an ancient Korean treatment which uses herb-infused steam to help detoxify and rejuvenate your hoo-ha. Also adored by the elite ladies of the Upper East Side. To learn more about this quirky treatment KK headed over to the VSPOT, a spa which offers numerous treatments for your “fine China,” and is owned by The Real Housewives of New York City alum Cindy Barshop.
Understandably KK had a few concerns leading up to her V’s big moment, but Barshop brought in a few regular clients of the spa to help ease her nerves. And learning that the women there easily spend up to $2,500 per treatment certainly served as a mind-blowing distraction for KK. Nervous but excited KK went in to begin her v-steam, which gave her a pleasant surprise. “When the steam first hits me it feels super warm and I find it oddly relaxing,” she said. There she also learned more about the types of herbs infused into the steam, like murgot, which helps to regulate your menstrual cycle and ease cramps.
So what was KK’s final verdict? “VSPOT has left me feeling more pampered than ever, there’s no better treatment for the notorious V-A-G,” she said. (She even bragged about it to her mommy.) Overall the treatment took 18 minutes and cost $175. You can watch KK’s full V-laxing experience above.
