This Is Not a Drill: Green Day is Working on a Makeup Collaboration

We thought Hailey Baldwin's improbably chic pink eye would steal The Week in Shocking Eyeliner News. But as it turns out, we were wrong. It's only Wednesday, and already we have another big story from the world of makeup. Ready for this? Green Day has teamed up with Kat Von D. to create an eyeliner. 

The partnership makes perfect sense, if you think about it. Kat Von D. is known for her edgy, color-drenched products — and she loves a good tattoo more than anyone. She's pretty much the rock star of Sephora, so why wouldn't she team up with true rock stars?

Plus, Green Day's lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong knows his way around an eye that's rimmed just so. Check out Exhibit A: 

Though we know that the eyeliner will be called "Basket Case" after Green Day's hit song, details on the forthcoming collaboration are still mum. We haven't seen a release date. And, we don't know whether the product will be limited-edition, or on shelves for the long haul. We have serious questions! 

We would place money on the fact that the eyeliner will be super long-lasting, though. The tattoo artist demands products that perform, and has even called her famous Tattoo Eyeliner: "bullet-proof."

We just hope this suspense won't last much longer.
