This is How the Kardashians Celebrated Kendall's 'Vogue' Cover
It's not a surprise party without Ryan Seacrest.
ICYMI: Vogue has revealed its September cover star. And the winner is... Kendall Jenner! (And just a month after her BFF Gigi landed her first American Vogue cover. Aww.) Kris Jenner has a knack for entertaining, so naturally the whole family went wild when celebrating Kendall's major career coup. But, a sweet video showed the fam faking Kendall out a bit before they unleashed the cheers.
Produced by Ryan Seacrest, the video shows Kendall waking up in the morning and giving herself a little mirror pep talk. "I better get downstairs," she says. "My family's probably pissed they haven't congratulated me yet." What follows is a number of blasé Kardashians and Jenners, blithely walking past the Septmember cover star as they chat on the phone, Facetime with one another (why not?), and even sit atop a stack of the hot new issue. That last one's all little Penelope.
But, when Kendall walks outside, she finds a terribly chic surprise party waiting for her. A blown-up version of her stunning cover shot is on display, and custom balloons spell out "Congratulations Kendall, Vogue." (Honestly, we teared up a little.)
Her sweet fam continued gushing on social media.
"Kendall, you did it!!! You really did it," Khloe wrote. "September Issue of Vogue!!!!!!! "Yesss @kendalljenner," Kim wrote. "True fan girl moment seeing my sister achieve her goals to the highest!!! Get it baby girl!!!!!" Kris's sweet note said: "OMG Kendall, you’re on the SEPTEMBER COVER of VOGUE!!! This is so huge!!! This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, but more importantly what an amazing, iconic moment in your career. I couldn’t be prouder of you, your work ethic, your professionalism, your stunning beauty, and most importantly your huge heart, you’re such an amazing girl and it's your time to shine."
