These Mother-Daughter Duos Brought Family Bonding to NYFW
Madonna, Yolanda Hadid, and others hit New York with their stylish daughters.
New York Fashion Week is flooded with fabulous couples (Olivia Palermo and her gorgeous hubby spring to mind; and, how cute are Selena Gomez and The Weeknd?)
But, nothing quite beats the mommy-and-me moments that light up front rows, after-parties, and the streets of the Big Apple. Let's review some of our favorite family outings from NYFW.
The fashion world is doing a collective swoon over Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber. The pair of lookalikes wore sparkling navy dresses to The Daily Front Row's 4th Annual Fashion Media Awards in September 2016. Kaia took home the award that evening for "Breakthrough Model of the Year," and had more to celebrate: at just 15 years old, she became the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. At this year's NYFW, the teenage beauty made her runway debut for Calvin Klein. NBD.
Madonna and Lourdes Leon were the talk of the town when they sat front row at the Alexander Wang fashion show last year.
Despite the sweltering temps, Lourdes wore a fuzz angora sweater from Alexander's collection—and even endured a public cuddle from mom. She paired the sassy look with fishnet stockings. For this round of the fashion-packed week, Lourdes sat front row at Jeremy Scott's Spring/Summer 2018 show—but this time, she stepped out sans her famous mama and opted for a pale yellow slipdress.
Anna Wintour was in fine company at Victoria Beckham's Spring/Summer 2017 show. The Vogue editor was flanked by David Beckham on one side, and her oh-so stylish daughter Bee Shaffer on the other. Beckham was having his own moment of family bonding: that's his son Brooklyn on the left!
Yolanda Hadid was right by her baby girl's side when she hit NYFW last year, and was—of course—front row at the Gigi x Tommy show.
