Taylor Swift Is Back With a New, Badass '90s Look

Taylor Swift fans, it’s officially time for you to freak out. After a two-year musical hiatus, the chart-topping pop singer is finally releasing a new album this year. But that’s not all.

Wednesday, the 27-year-old singer took to Instagram to promote her upcoming album Reputation, and along with the big reveal we got a first look at what may be Swift’s new edgy beauty aesthetic. In what appears to be the album cover, Swift’s hair is long and wavy, giving off that effortlessly cool appeal.

While the photo is in black and white, her hair still appears to give off a light blonde hue, and it looks like she may be sticking to her signature red lip. However, Swift’s signature cat eye is nowhere to be found in the image, but we do spy a bit of contour along her cheekbones. Her patchy crewneck is paired with a chain choker, which makes you feel like Swift just stepped out of a badass ‘90s grunge music video.

Overall, Swift’s entire aura gives off major care-free vibes, which may be a clue as to what to expect from her latest project. Even more odd, all previous images from Swift’s Instagram page have been erased.

It looks this fall will mark the beginning of a whole new era for T-Swift.
