Sofia Richie Got the Summer's Hottest Hairstyle Using Kitchen Shears

Sofia Richie, Nicole Richie's sister, model/professional cool girl, and rumored ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber, got an impromptu bob over the weekend. How impromptu? Her stylist Chase Kusero picked up a pair of kitchen shears and chopped off inches of Sofia's hair. 

Don't believe it? There's video of the exact moment Chase makes the first cut using your run-of-the-mill kitchen scissors—the same ones you use to cut up herbs and veggies.

Chase, who is the co-founder of hair product line IGK, had a reason behind using that particular tool. “Her hair was feeling a bit dry and we were hanging out, getting ready for a friend’s wedding. I told her she would look sick with a strong, short bob,” Kusero said in a press release. “I used kitchen scissors because I wanted the thick, chunky,‘chopped’ texture they create.”
