Selena Gomez Wore a $400 Nightgown as Daywear Because Why Not?
Style stars are taking pajamas out of the bedroom.
Who said wearing pajamas in the streets is unacceptable? Certainly not us — or Selena Gomez. Comfort is king, and the singer and style star knows it. On Tuesday night, Gomez hit the streets of NYC in a silky, printed night shirt.
In case you're wondering: The exact look is available from Olivia von Halle and it retails for $405. So, why not get the most mileage possible out of the comfy shirt? Gomez transitioned the look from boudoir to bodega-ready with white Puma sneakers, and she tied a fuzzy black sweater around her neck to ward off the October chill. (Duvets are much harder to carry.)
Selena's not the only star who's turned pajama dressing on its head. Gigi Hadid wore PJs to a formal event back in November; and just this week, Jennifer Lawrence did the same.
The actress wore a black-lace Christian Dior nightgown to Elle's Women in Hollywood Celebration on Monday night.
Quick question: If a Coach designer and an Oscar winner support wearing PJs all day, what are we doing in regular clothes? We're definitely taking up this office dress code thing with HR.
