Selena Gomez Designed a Coach Bag With a Secret Message to her Fans
The singer looked to her tattoos for design inspiration.
When Selena Gomez landed a huge campaign as the face of Coach and a deal to design a line of handbags, we wondered what the singer would dream up as her perfect bag. Well, now we know!
Coach just unveiled its collaboration with the "Bad Liar" singer, and it turns out to be incredibly personal (or should we say purse-onal?).
The ladylike, double-handled "Selena Grace" bag with gold hardware includes a hang tag with her signature, and Selena has even more hidden messages to her fans sewn into the purse.
A patch inside the bag reads "To be you is to be strong" and the bottom of the bag reads "Love yourself first" written in Selena's handwriting. That's inspired by one of Selena's tattoos, which features that phrase written in Arabic on her back.
The bag comes in three colors: Selena Black Cherry, Selena White, and the cheerful Selena Red. The Coach x Selena Gomez collection also includes bag charms, wallets and the Selena Wristlet.
Coach hasn't revealed prices for the collab yet, but it will be available for pre-order online at Coach.com starting on August 14 and will launch in Coach stores on September 1.
Fans also have a chance to win one of 150 signed Selena Grace bags or the grand prize: a signed bag and a trip for two to meet Selena in person at the Coach House flagship store in New York on September 13.
