Salma Hayek Debuted a Shocking New Hair Color at The Cannes Film Festival
Rosé all day.
Salma Hayek rang in rosé season in style at the Cannes Film Festival. (When in France, right?) The actress—whose beauty calling cards include lustrous chocolate locks—stepped out to an event with a rosy new tint.
At the Women in Motion Awards Dinner, the Frida star wore a Gucci gown decked with crystal-flecked, pink floral embroidery. She also wore a velvet belt cinched with a beaded butterfly. As an aside, garden-party-ready Gucci gowns have been big this year at Cannes. Elle Fanning wore a floor-sweeping, pale green gown with hand-painted yellow flowers last week, while Charlotte Casiraghi wore a silk tulle gown stitched with multi-colored flowers.
But, back to the business at hand! Salma's hair—a gently curled, pink wig—matched the springy embellishment on her gown. Fans were quick to compliment the surprising hue on social media, leaving comments such as "love love love the rose hair" next to Salma's social-media snaps.
The following day, Salma was back to her regular hue. But, she still toed the rosé party line—this time in pink, printed Gucci pajamas. "Whoever is responsible for making pajamas a trend for street wear—thank you!" she captioned a photo of herself, in which she wore some impressive shades.
This woman knows how to ring the summer. Now, excuse us while we start tracking down 40-ounce rosé bottles, rosé gummy bears, and something in our budget that approximates those divine pink PJ's.
