Red Carpet Watch: The Best Looks From the Cannes Film Festival (So Far)
And Charlize hasn't even arrived yet.
It's just day two of the Cannes Film Festival, but we've already seen gobs of eye candy. Here's a peek at the best of fest trends so far, from sunny yellow frocks to outrageous statement necklaces, and starlets rocking Art Deco styles (spoiler: Bella Hadid won in this category.)
1. Menswear
Like Lena Dunham at the Met Gala, Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts wore menswear on the red carpet. Style so sharp has no gender.
Roberts, who starred in a Givenchy ad campaign last year, wore Givenchy. "We're just pals," she once said of designer Riccardo Tisci.
Roberts' Stepmom co-star Susan Sarandon also brought the menswear, pairing her look with pointed flats, shades, and a bright-red lip.
2. Black and White
Several stars wore the classically elegant color combo.
Victoria Beckham stepped out in a posh design of her own. She also wore a smoky eye using products from her new VBxEstee Lauder collection, and some baubles from Chopard.
Actress Li Bingbing put a completely glamorous spin on the two tones, wearing a halter-neck gown with an epic train.
3. Bejeweled Gowns
What's a movie star without a little bling?
Julianne Moore was wrapped in sequined cobras stitched up by Givenchy Couture. Chopard jewelry was a little more icing on top.
Naomi Watts also sparkled in a lilac column gown by Armani Privee. And that gorgeous necklace makes Watts look like she raided a million-dollar candy stash.
4. Pretty in Pink
A couple stars brought haute-cotton-candy style to photo calls.
Kirsten Dunst looked perfectly springy in a flowing, flowered look from Gucci.
Actress Arya Hargate wasn't about to be a wallflower in her pink frock. (Also, hello statement necklace.)
5. Art-Deco Inspiration
Shimmering, curve-hugging gowns channeled an earlier era.
For baby bump's first Cannes, Blake Lively wore an intricately beaded gown by Atelier Versace.
Bella Hadid no doubt made mama Yolanda proud in this stunning number from Cavalli Couture.
6. Bright Yellow
A sunny hue showed up in some of the best red-carpet looks.
Anna Kendrick shone bright in Stella McCartney. "Keeping it classy, 30 seconds at a time," she captioned the look on Instagram.
Jessica Chastain also stunned in yellow. Her floor-sweeping gown was by Armani.
That's Amal Clooney in an Atelier Versace gown, accessorized by some dapper guy. Didn't catch his name...
And who could forget Kirsten Dunst's cheerful Dior dress from yesterday?
