Michael Jackson's Model Daughter Just Landed A Major Magazine Cover
And she opens up big-time in the accompanying interview.
She's completely gorgeous, and her father was very, very famous. So—since celebrity offspring are taking over the fashion world—it only makes sense that Michael Jackson's daughter Paris would get tapped to model for a major brand.
In January, the 18-year-old was spotted in, well, Paris, where she posed in a rumored shoot for Chanel. Dressed up in a sheer white blouse, a fitted skirt, and a very red lip, the rising star bore a striking resemlance to the OG Material Girl. She even had the dangling earrings and studded gloves on.
Paris's shoot came on the heels of her appearance at InStyle's Golden Globe Awards after-party. For the glitzy event, the model and actress held her own in the floor-sweeping, black floral Lucie gown by Tadashi Shoji.
Though Paris keeps a relatively low profile, she does have some famous pals. Sofia Richie—also a rising model—is one of her closest buds. Still, a quick scroll through Paris's Instagram proves that images of her hanging with celebs and wearing designer duds are rare. In most snaps, the beauty wears a nose ring, hardly any makeup, and casual, hippy-style duds (beanies and crystal necklaces are both in heavy rotation.) We'll be keeping our eyes on this down-to-earth babe!
UPDATE: That wasn't a Chanel shoot, you guys—Paris was actually posing for the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine. NBD. The magazine announced that the Madge doppleganger will appear on the cover of its April issue, and Paris reveals a whole lot in the accompanying article written by Candace Bushnell.
"Growing up, I was treated as the favorite because I was the only girl. I was the princess; I was perfect in my dad's eyes," Paris revealed. While Michael dressed her in pinafore dresses and Mary-Jane shoes, Candace notes, the rising star's style has taken on a hippy-inspired bent. Her style icons are Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks, and she gets "everything" from Etsy.
Despite her love for crafty clothes, tie-dye shirts, and Converse sneakers, it's safe to say that Paris got fancy for the magazine shoot. But even wearing Chanel suits and fine jewelry, she looks every bit the free-spirited teenager. Here's a sneak peek at some photos from the spread, which hits newsstands on March 21.
