Lisa Vanderpump’s Beloved Pink Dog Has Passed Away
“You were such a happy pink dog.”
Lisa Vanderpump just shared some devastating news: Her pink Pomeranian—known simply as Pink Dog—has suddenly passed away. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dog-lover did not share any additional information about the cause of death, but it is clear she is extremely upset and emotional over her loss, as anyone would be.
“Rest in peace Pink Dog, we are devastated to see you go so suddenly...” Lisa posted on her Instagram. “you were such a happy pink dog and we will miss you dreadfully, we love you.” The five-year-old pup got her pink hue (Lisa’s signature color) from just a splash of non-toxic food coloring that was incorporated into her monthly grooming.
Pink Dog enjoyed the attention her light coloring afforded her. “We wash and groom all our dogs ourselves,” Lisa once told Yahoo. “In the final wash, we put a little bit of food coloring in so she comes out as a pink dog…I think anybody that loves their pet, indulges their pet—as long as it’s not at the pet’s expense.”
“I think she knows she’s pink,” Lisa told the New York Post, “and she knows she’s special.”
RIP Pink Dog. Our condolences to Lisa and her family.
