Lady Gaga Is Wearing So. Much. Dreamy Couture on Her European Tour
She's giving us a million reasons to never look away.
We'll just come out and say it: we are feeling the Joanne era. Lady Gaga has never not been fabulous—don't get us wrong—but it she's becoming ever more strong and powerful. Mother Monster's latest voice seems to be her bravest and truest—and that applies to her fashion statements, as well. All that said, Gaga almost managed to steal the thunder from every Victoria's Secret Angel in the 2016 Fashion Show.
When she was in Paris for the happening, Lady G. took to Instagram to describe the Alaïa dress she wore for the finale. "Exquisite this piece, an affair really," she captioned a black-and-white pic of herself with the dress. We basically feel that way about everything she wore in Paris, and in London right after that. Here's a breakdown of the Lady's European trousseau.
1. Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016: Look One
To sing "A Million Reasons," she wore a long-sleeve mermaid gown made out of sheer lace. Covered in red roses, the dress is from the Yolan Cris fall/winter 2016 collection.
2. Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016: Look 2
Next, the singer reemerged in a glittering black jumpsuit by Saint Laurent. The hat she wore was by Gladys Tamez Millinery, which also made the now-famous pink hat that Lady G's been wearing everywhere (including on the cover of Joanne.) Reportedly worth a million dollars, the topper was encrusted with 47,000 Swarovski crystals. "Aesthetically, the design was Bob Mackie–meets–Gypsy Rose Lee and Gaga just loved that," Gladys told Vogue.
To belt out her song "John Wayne," Gaga got into character with a white lambskin Perfecto by Schott NYC. And, surprise! The back had wings that sprouted during the performance.
3. Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016: Finale
For the confetti-filled finale, the style star wore a lacy, maroon crop top and skirt from Azzedine Alaïa's autumn/winter 2016 haute couture collection. "It's poetry in Paris," she said of Alaïa's designs.
4. British Fashion Awards
After the show comes, well, the after-party. But then, it was time to hop across the channel for the British Fashion Awards. Gaga looked like a princess in a dramatic black down by Brandon Maxwell. It appears we're not the only ones swooning over this look: The way she poses is everything.
5. Royal Variety Performance
To meet the Royal Family, she opted for another Brandon Maxwell piece. This one was a floor-sweeping, pink satin gown with a halter neckline and a girlish bow in back.
