People Are Legit Losing it Over These Not-Yet-Released Lipsticks
These electric shades have beauty lovers feeling some kind of way.
If you go gaga for glitter, prepare to have a full-on meltdown. Kat Von D., the edgy beauty mogul known for super pigmented products, is about to unleash a range of sparkling, electric hued lipsticks. And though the products haven't hit shelves just yet, the teasers are enough to have beauty lovers fanning themselves.
The brand's VP of product development, Nancy McGuire, showcased swatches of all 11 shades on her arm in an Instagram teaser. From sparkling onyx to the hottest of hot pink and shimmery champagne, it's safe to say there's a color here for everyone. Well, maybe not for those going for that natural look. But who needs natural, when you can have electric-disco-dance-party lips? (It's worth considering!)
Take a peek at what we're dealing with:
The comments immediately started spilling in, punctuated with countless heart-eyed emojis. Some fans simply couldn't hold it in, leaving phrases such as "HOLY SH**" and "OH MY GOD" in ALL CAPS. One user is already asking for eyeshadows to match, of course, and others are already nervous that the glittery goods will sell out. "Ugggh, there better be a vault of these," one user kvetched. In response to questions about when the hotly coveted products will come out, Nancy simply wrote: "Soon, promise." That's all you got, Nance?
As Kat Von D. prepares to get glittery, Pat McGrath—who was responsible for so many ruby-slipper-style lips last summer—is going to the matte side. The beauty maven known as "Mother" recently teased fans about her upcoming Matte Trance collection. If you've been watching fashion closely, you've actually already seen these shades at Prada's resort show. v
Believe us: there are plenty of heart-eyed emjois over on Pat's feed, too. So, are you team glitter or matte? Where will you channel your frantic commenting energy? Don't worry. We won't really make you choose.
