Gigi Hadid's New Stuart Weitzman Line Will Make You Fall in Love with Mules All Over Again

Gigi Hadid, the newly minted Woman of the Year, has had a great — and busy! — year indeed. As she racks up awards and prepares to walk in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the model also managed to design a second line of shoes for Stuart Weitzman. And in the process, she's made us love mules.

Now, don't get us wrong: we were never mule-adverse, per se. It's just that the easy-to-slip on styles didn't necessarily have the sizzle of stillettos, the gamine appeal of ballet flats, or — let's face it — the five-fire-alarm hotness of these sparkling boots. But when we saw the Gigi Mules, one thing became clear: We need one in every color, like, immediately. (Santa, are you listening?) 

The limited-edition "Eyelove" and "Eyelovemore" styles come by their name honestly: The suede kicks are dotted with leather eye talismans. “The evil eye is a powerful symbol meant to protect those who wear it from negative energies," Gigi said in a statement. "It’s emotionally comforting and beautiful and captivating to look at.” 

And, speaking of good energy, the shoes have a charitable tie-in: Part of their proceeds will be used to support Stuart Weitzman's commitment to building three schools in Guatemala, Ghana, and Laos. That's probably enough to warm your heart on its own, but just in case it's not: Know that the kicks are also lined in shearling, which makes them a cozy bet for the frosty months ahead.
