Gigi Hadid Appears to be Wearing Actual Chaps
The model fearlessly wore the summer's most dubious jeans.
Today's supermodels aren't content with wearing plain old jeans with five pockets and a zip fly. Kendall Jenner set the bar high in April when she walked around wearing cut-offs with the ankles still intact (just look at the photo to truly understand).
Now, Gigi Hadid is offering up her own weird jean-short hybrid. Gigi wore a pair of Y/Project white denim jeans in NYC recently that are pretty eye-catching. The jeans easily convert into booty shorts: just unbutton four buttons and boom, the jeans are shorts. Are these the jeans of the future, with climate change and all? There's a black version of the Y/Project jeans at Opening Ceremony for $460 right now, which seems steep—but at least it's two pairs of pants in one purchase.
Setting aside the whole convertible jeans issue, there's something going on with the hem of Gigi's pants too. Seems like she tied the ankle strap of her Aquazzura heels around her pants. If you're not ready for detachable cutout side jeans, this might be a safer styling trick to copy.
