Kaia Gerber Reveals Cindy Crawford's On-Set Behavior
The icon and her daughter talked modeling for Teen Vogue.
Teen Vogue's September issue has a kickass theme: #ForGirlsbyGirls. To that end, the issue was shot entirely by female photographers. And, it features an interview with a mother-daughter duo that has us all swooning.
You've heard of Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford's (obviously) gorgeous daughter. But, how much do you know about the young model? If there's one person the 14-year-old feels comfortable opening up to, it's her own mom. So, the magazine had the former Pepsi model lead the charge in interviewing Kaia.
You can peek at the transcript here, but be warned: you may wish Cindy were your mom. She instilled some serious values in her daughter, including treating everyone around her with respect. "I’ve watched you be nothing but kind to everyone on set, from the photographer to the caterer," Kaia told Cindy.
The two also take a trip down model-memory lane, with Cindy noting that Kaia's first gig was at the tender age of 10—for Versace, no less! "[Her dad and I] allowed her to do it because it was with a great team," Cindy said. "I chaperoned her and I knew besides getting great pictures, she would have fun."
Cindy also said that she's always been supportive of her daughter's modeling dreams, despite false media reports. But, it's not all fun with Donatella. "You're learning that [modeling] is hard work!," Cindy told her mini-me.
