Black and White

Five designers remain. Heidi announces that the designers will learn about their challenge, not on the Runway, but at a party hosted by L’Oreal Paris. Heidi adds that she has, “invited some very special guests and they will be an important part of this challenge.” What the #$&#? Heidi and the designers meet at a chic and much-talked-about club, the Pink Elephant. There, Heidi reveals the surprise guests: Angela and Vincent. What the #$&#, again? During the formation of the season three challenges, it had been decided that the designers who won challenges, but had been eliminated, would return for challenge ten. Those designers are Angela, Vincent, and Keith -- but Keith is ineligible to return, as we know. All seven of the designers will compete to be the winner of this challenge. Three designers will be eliminated. The only way that either Angela or Vincent can remain is to win.

This challenge is to design a cocktail party outfit using only black and white fabric -- black AND white, not either or. Given that the designers all share this palette, this challenge is about the design and silhouette of the garment and the make-up and styling of the model. And the designers will each use their last model.

The designers are given 15 minutes to sketch, after which we go shopping with a budget of $100. There is one tiny wrinkle that impacts them all both practically and conceptually: They must use ALL of their fabric in their design -- every scrap. Zac Posen is our guest judge.

Let me just start by saying that I am super super sad that Kayne left...
As soon as Heidi Klum said that there would be two guests, I immediately knew that it was Vincent and Angela. Sorry to see them again, glad to see them go. Again.
I'm happy Laura got her confidence back, but mostly really really sad that Kayne is out. Really sad.

Yay Laura!!!!! I'm so happy she won! Congratulations!

I think Vincent was given a raw deal as nothing was said about his model was injured and the new model was bigger and took up more of the length. I think Jeffrey's getup looked like a hooker. His attitude really is bad and I don't like his designs at all.

CindyJ wrote:

Complete BS that Kayne was kicked off tonight instead of Jeffrey. Kayne's dress was much more "cocktail dress" than any of Jeffrey's dresses will ever be. Michael should have won for his beautiful white dress with the black waistband. Obviously the judges just want to keep Jeffrey in so they will have more drama in the end as they did last season with Santino. Too bad they put personal drama over design talent.

Laura made a younger dress, despite the mandatory black on white. I am glad to see her win.

Michael's overall look was wonderful! But his fabric (esp. up close) seemed cheap.

AlthoughI would buy Uli's dress, can she make something not flowy? not for the beach?

Angela stuffed her purse with the extra fabric. Lame.

Wesley Swinson wrote:

I used to love the show, but keeping Jeffery and sending home much more talented people just like Santini last year. The producers should trust us to enjoy the fashion and not the loudmouth who can't get along and passes off a ripped up table cloth as a dress of "high fashion".
Bored to tears and guess I'll switch the channel.

I can't believe Jeffery stayed when his model looked like a hooker!!! I miss Kayne already, but I knew at the beginning when he said you could use black or white that he was in trouble, cause he was not using both like he was supposed to. Oh well, maybe he could come back too.

Debra Mac wrote:

Kaine is out!?! He's so sweet, and always does a great job. I love his style and how much he loves what he makes...its fun to watch him watch his models go down the runway. I can't believe they left Jeffrey in again. So sad.
Kaine we all love you!!!

Heidi wrote:

I am very sorry to see Kayne leave. While I agree with the judges that his dress did not contain much white fabric, it was a wonderful design and he did not deserve to leave the show. I thought that Jeffrey's design was not "cocktail" it was trash. He missed the design challenge again. I will miss you Kayne!

I liked Laura's dress! Covered and cute! Nicely done.

My favorite, Michael's entire outfit was so very nice! Well put together!

Jeffrey's outfit was interesting, I liked the dress fabric pattern and the large belt. I didn't care for the leggings, but it did go with the outfit. I thought it's good for a rave or similar but not a cocktail party - not elegant.

I didn't like Uli's dress this time. Or, I would have liked it better without the sleeves and the necklace. the sleeves looked like she was trying to use up the fabric rather than being a cohesive part of the design.

Vincent - Too bad they switched models on him - it changed the fit. But, it was too short anyway and the cape wasn't quite right.

Angela - yuck! I did not like that shortie bolero and especially that collar.

By Kane - Stick with what you do best.

What are the judges thinking? They say Uli always designs the same thing, how about Jeffrey. His outfits are never designed for anyone but the rocker, grunge world, tonight was the exception, he designed for a hooker!!!!

LOVED LAURA'S cocktail dress. I am not her biggest fan, however, she pulled it off! Congradulations, Laura! I would buy her dress, if I was rich and famous. I AM Michael's biggest fan, and was a bit disappointed to see this challenge. Angela and Vincent return????? mmmmm. Uli has the same design with a twist for each challenge, except for the design for the everyday woman. Tuck it in, Uli. Jeffery is probably the most disliked designer on the show, but I like him. I would like to see him design something other than hardrock, but I would hate to loose his personality. Kayne is Kayne. I believe the more he designs and learns, the better he will become. He didn't make this far by accident, or did he? Good luck Kayne.

Jer wrote:

OK, so we saw Vincent and Angela get whacked off twice (big shock there). It is too bad that Kayne doesn't "quite" get there in his taste. There are times where his stuff does actually flash a bit of innovation or brilliance when solving the problem but certainly suffers from... his Prom and Beauty Queen background. It does smack of Vegas. So, I'm sorry to see Kayne go. I like the guy and he does get how to make a girl look hot... not always classy, but certainly sexy. In a Vegas way.

Laura did finally pull something out that was interesting. My sister keeps saying that she'd wear her clothes, I've always found them to be a snooze and not particularly sexy or forward (Kind of like Laura). While this cocktail dress is straight from the 20's, the chick did looked hot. But, Laura keeps designing stuff that either she IS wearing or Wore about a week ago. She WORE a little flapper number in Paris on the boat ride.

Michael's stuff is cool, there is no denying that the kid has talent. Some of his taste needs maturing, but this guy gets it.

Uli... the hippie thing... I've been curious as to why she hasn't been axed off a while ago.

Jeffrey... Like him or not, the judges, for the most part, do seem to like him and graced him with wins on two big challenges.

Lisa wrote:

I actually really liked Kayne's dress. I understand why he was out but I thought it looked great, and I even liked the back. I thought Jeff should have been out personally...but thats just me. I'm tired of his rock and roll view, not because I'm against it , just because he never strays from it.

SonyaDT wrote:

OMG! I never thought the thing that brought Kayne down would be NOT LISTENING!!! He didn't listen when Tim said Black & White and ALSO didn't listen when Angela asked the question to clarify it! ARGHHHH!
Preggo definitely deserved the win. Hadda be either her or Michael. Jeffrey's model looked like a street walker in his "dress."
I would not have worn Vincent or Angela's dress to a dog fight. They both proved why they had been eliminated. Angela didn't even deserve to come back because without Laura and Michael on her team, she wouldn't have had a win to be considered.
I thought Michael's entry was smooth, hip and elegant as are all of his entries. I would have had trouble picking between him and Laura for the win.
At least in this episode the judges didn't make any comments that proved their usual ignorance and crassness.

kari adams wrote:

Well Project Runway, You Are Out. I refuse to watch anymore, I just don't care. Kayne should not have been eliminated. Get real judges, and who is Nina with her smarmy comments. Just wait, you will see Kayne again. Technically Kayne should get another chance too because he won a challenge, but no, that will not happen. I have been a loyal fan of the show, but no more, the judges suck!

What is with the judges? I think Jeffrey's design was cheap too and not even close to hip!!!! Uli's was. How can they criticize Kanyne and Uli? They're are thousands of times better in everyway than that horrible Jeffrey. I think I'll stop watching the next season if he gets any closer to winning. He is not talented at all. He's such a baby and cried to his mother when "he" treated Angela's mother with disrespect. Get rid of him!!!!
The best is Michael, Uli, Laura and yes, Kayne!!!! Let the talented ones go to the finals.

So, Uli is consistant and gets bopped while Jeffery cannot get away from slut clothes and slides by. That is a consistantly boring judgement on the part of the producers. This episode left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Very gimicky, from bringing back V and A and the fabric use requirement. What an over-produced challenge. Uli's gotta go next. It's just rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat with her. But, for as gimicky as it was, I LOVED seeing Angela and Vincent being unceremoniously booted yet again.

Jeremy Wallace wrote:

I liked Laura's dress, however, I thought Michael's dress was a knock-out! His total look was excellent. I thought it was between Michael and Laura. I felt the judges wanted to reward Laura with a win so they gave this one to her.

IMHO, Michael still should have won this challenge...

MaureenT wrote:

Michael- great as always. Uli hang in there. Jeffrey, here's to hoping you're the next to go!

Aimster wrote:

I have never been a Kayne fan, and I did think the back of his outfit was...lacking; however, I don't understand how Jeffrey is NOT out?! That outfit was AWFUL. Not only was the style just all wrong, it fit her poorly as well. Does Project Runway really think this guy can ever get out of his small box? Same thing with Uli--I like her stuff but it's essentially the same. This season has been a real disappointment. I've reached a low point where I'm wanting some Wendy Pepper!

W wrote:

The terms of this challenge were fundamentally unfair. The decision to bring back "past winners" (ugh!) was arbitrary and perhaps unethical, since it violated the rules that had been made known to the designers in advance. The judges did not specify the minimum amount of each color that was required, yet they criticized Kayne for not using enough white. They also inspected the interiors of some handbags but not others, giving some designers -- but only some -- a way to use fabric without truly incorporating it into their designs.

This show has lost all credibility. I have to admit that I am likely to watch the rest of this season, but certainly no more than that. Frankly, I feel like a fool for having wasted my time on such a ridiculous program. I should have known better than to expect good television from a third-rate cable station.

Lisa wrote:

Yeah Laura!!! I have to say Laura has been my favorite from day one with her line about being one step away from a minivan and sweatpants. She's smart, witty and classy. Everything she does is beautiful and precise.

I hope she wins. Either way, her new career is assured.

Mary Jane wrote:

I feel that Kayne has a strong future in the fashion world. What I mean by this , we will see his name shine among the great fashion designers some day. He is young and doesn't have many years of experience behind him. I would have love to see what his collection of fashions would have been. Therefore HE SHOULD be given another chance just like the other two were given. Just look at the high bids his fashions are getting. That alone should tell you that this young man has great fashion talent. People like his designs.

Eric wrote:

I'm so happy Laura finally won!!! They tried to paint her as the b*tch early on, but I just found her honest, although she did seem more than just a little Cruella De Vil in the dog challenge. Michael's dress was great too. I knew Kayne was out when I saw him tie that bow on the back of his dress, too bad, he was sweet. Jeffrey would never be eliminated because he adds "controversy". So I think next week it's between Uli and Laura as to who will be elimintaed.

Chax wrote:

I was horrified that Vincent and Angela were back until I saw the dresses that they were making. Then I realized that seeing them lose twice was worth having them back on the show. I hated to see Kayne go though, he had so much promise in the beginning. I hope Michael is in the final three.

Patrick wrote:

I have to say that I have pulled for Kayne since day one. I never expected him to win or get final three, and I wasn't surprised by his boot this episode. The judges have set him up for weeks and he neglected to really listen. I have no idea why he didn't understand that black AND white meant you needed to have more than a white ribbon on the poorly constructed back.

With that said, I'm getting rather bored of Uli and Jeffery to an extent. Uli does the same thing every challenge, I swear, and even with the Episode 9 gown it seemed rather familiar. (Is it just me, or did Santino do a similar gown last season?) And I just really hated Jeffery's last winning gown, and his most recent on was not really any improvement in my mind.

Renata wrote:

I still don't understand how Jeffrey could still be in the race. His design was so ugly. It was also too short. Vincent's (dear soul) was even much more of a cocktail dress than Jeffrey's. Talk about short dresses. Why won't they send Jeffrey home? He has no talent to be in any real retail store....
Michael, Uli, Laura and Kayne are the best. Why did Kayne really go home? He managed to use white one way or another. Send Jeffrey home!!!! NC, "No Talent", Rude, Ridiculous, etc. And what's with the double finger he gave a couple of people at the end? He is truly disturbed. Is he on something? It must be. Check out his atitude and no talent for designing. Go back to making rock star outfits. That's all you can really do...

JXO wrote:

When I turned on the TV i was like oh dear...Vincent is back...At least he didn't say "IT JUST GOT ME OFF!" Needless to say I was relieved by that, but very saddened to see Kayne go. His outfit wasn't something I would wear but it was different.

Kristin L. wrote:

Ohhhh no! Kayne is gone!

Yes, I knew that he had to go at some point. But he was genuinely a nice person, and he was so talented- he just had a tendancy to go over the top...and well, let's face it. The back of that black dress was hideous. But you can't help but love him.

I originally thought that the final three would be Michael, Jeffrey and Uli. Now I'm concerned for poor Uli, because she keeps making the same dress. She usually uses a crazy print but makes it work somehow (IE challenge #3), but once her model stepped onto the runway, I was just like "whoa." And that wasn't a good whoa.

I LOVED Michael's outfit. I would happily wear that dress any day. I do believe that he'll win.

Jeffrey's dress was okay...but wasn't it supposed to be a cocktail dress? And those leggings made the whole thing look skanky.

Angela and Vincent were just a big no. As to be expected, of course- Angela's taste is just bizarre, and Vincent himself is wacky.

Laura's dress was cute, and it was nice to see that she can steer away from her famous plunging neckline for once. Personally, it didn't look like a cocktail dress. There was no elegance. Still though...it was different, and I can appreciate that.

I do think that Michael was robbed though!

Billy Cartes wrote:

Jeffrey's cocktail design looked like it walked out of Lerner Shops 1968. UGH. It is so incredibly difficult to watch him, especially in his little interview spots. I cringe everytime he's on camera. His hatred, insecurity and rage is just such a poverty of the mind. At first I thought the producers were making a good decision because that tension, in a way, creates television. BUT IT'S GETTING TO BE WAY TOO MUCH. GIVE THE FANS A BREAK PEOPLE. TO SHOW HIM COMING OFF THE STAGE INTO THE GREEN ROOM AND GIVING THE REST OF THE DESIGNERS THE FINGER WAS JUST HORRIBLE. THAT HATE!!!! Good Luck Laura, Uli and Michael. Terrific stuff this week. I'm confident it will be you three at the end of the show.

Belinda wrote:

Kayne, you still have a lot of class. If you only used white. I wanted you in the top 3. Michael is very created in the entire look. He does not think just about the outfit, he thinks about the model, her accessories, her make-up and hairstyle. Michael, you are going places. Laura, finally a win! You go girl! Uli - I would love to see a tight fitting dress. It seems as though all of your dress bottoms are always loose fitting. Jeffrey, I loved your outfit, but not the leggings.

Dan wrote:

Here we go again with more Vincent! Gimme a break! Let him design new straightjackets for the nuthouse where he belongs. And Angela, now that she's off the show (again) she can go tame that bird's nest hairdo. Needless to say two godawful outfits that don't merit analysis. Judging from the phone-in vote we all want more Alison - not these two flakes. Laura showed us something different and even though it wasn't exciting she did break her mold. The win probably saved her from miscarrying. I really thought Michael should have won, but no worries he's obviously the judge's fave and a shoe-in for the final three. Oh well. My man Jeffrey failed to threepeat but dodged a bullet. The judges say he does the same thing every week but it's good enough for two wins and he really got robbed on the recycling challenge. Kayne has left the building. Say it ain't so! Am I crazy or did ice princess Nina look upset? Maybe it's just he realization that she won't be handed a live goat like the Jurassic Park raptors next week. He was the fun part of the show and his cattiness will be sorely missed. I'd rather see him and Robert critique the red carpet than Joan + Melissa anyday. (E! Channel do you read this?) Uli had another complicated neckline. And bonus goofy sleeves! I don't know how many other straight guys watch this show, but I have never found her clothes to be sexy at all. She makes the world's greatest curtains - complete with a braided tieback - every week. Yawn. Let's hope next Wednesday brings us an episode about designing clothes instead of cheap theatrics because I heard a crazy rumor that the show is actually some kind of design contest. Carry on!

Tamara wrote:

Laura deserved to win a challenge, but not this one. This was purely Michael's win!

Kayne's dress looked a million times better than Jeffrey's even with the little white it had.

What was the point of Angela and vincent coming back? They are Horrible designers...Period! what a waste of time.

Uli's designed ARE BORING!

Kudos to Laura! She stepped outside of her comfort zone and created a winner. It was sophisticated and youthful. Poor Kayne. I love him but he was on cruise control to disaster for the past few challenges. Uli had better take notice of Laura's willingness to try something new or she will be out next week. Finally, Michael is a doll and a shoe in for the final 3. P.S. I cannot stand Jeffrey so I am not going to even comment on his rude behind.

OH my gosh. Where do I start? Well, for one, I will NOT be watching this program anymore. This was the last time I could watch and see Jeffrey stay in the running. His dress/outfit/joke was horrible and something that maybe Pamela Anderson would wear to a cocktail party but certainly no one that has any style or class would wear. I quit watching last year when Santino kept winning. At least Santino wasn't an uncaring, uncouth jerk like Jeffrey is. Next, Michael and Laura. I would have had one heck of a time picking a winner from these two, but I have to agree with the judges because Laura's dress was not typical Laura and she really started to go outside her comfort zone with this challenge. Bravo, Laura! Angela and Vincent...I think I would have chosen to play it a bit safe and go for a more classic look rather than do what you did. Vincent started out right with his dress, but when the model came out and the dress was so short you could almost see......well, it was just too short. And Angela, I was hoping you would get off the granny square binge. If you HAVE to add a signature Angela granny square, then for heaven's sake, make a bag and use the granny square as the decoration for the fastener of the bag. Kaine...you darlin....you had the right idea, but you really freaked on the white thing. This was probably the easiest challenge instruction wise and you just blew it. But I STILL think you beat Jeffrey by a mile and a half. Uli, Uli, Uli.....when I saw you picking patterns I almost choked. They complimented you last week on the LACK of prints! Take that and run with it! Your designs are so nice and your clothes seem so comfortable but please, leave a little more of the hippie, prints for everything out of your designs or use them sparingly.

To all the designers left, good luck! It's a pity I won't be seeing any more of the show, but I just can't stomach Jeffrey any longer.

LAURA!! MY HOME GIRL WINS!!! And a gorgeous, elegant, sexy, hot, even naughty number that was the true meaning of elegance and creativity. Although it's too bad they don't award ties, Tim, because Michael once again came through; wonder what happened to both of them on the couture challenge? Ah well. I actually would have knocked out Jeffrey's dress before Vincent's (and I have hated practically everything Vincent has done, including his own outfit for the jet setter challenge). But while Vincent's had problems, Jeffrey once again proved that the only person he can design for is his one-idea self. Women he makes look either ridiculous or slutty, and not sexy slutty; just slutty. On the old Mad TV show, there was a recurring skit about two Hispanic streetwalkers. THIS was a perfect costume for that skit...Uli, Uli, Uli, dull, dull, dull. She must get out of that "whee" box she's in; since the first couple of challenges, she's had zero creativity. Kayne, I guess, had to go, and yes, this was just stupid on his part; he could have saved that dress and blown both Vincent and Jeffrey out of the competition completely if he had just done a full back and a white skirt, or white top. It was the beginnings of a great garment that obviously fell apart. And Angela...oy. But without the idiotic neck thingy, that too might have been lovely. Ah well. But go Laura! Go Michael! "Show 'em how to do it yeah..."

I loved Michael's dress also and was glad to see him get 2nd place. Uli's was so predictable but it was pretty.

I'm really sad to see Kayne go. He has so much talent. He really screwed up by not using enought white. I would rather have seen Jeffrey gone but he used the appropriate amounts of black and white and that's the only reason he beat Kayne.

Can't wait until next week!!!

As for Laura, WELL DONE! She has such class and I am completely torn over whether I love her or Michael for the win. Angela and Vincent -- Angela is definitely a unique designer, but this crowd is just not accepting of her style. But I thought Laura definitely deserved this win, that dress was wonderful, and her model is fantastic.

I hate to see Kane go....more because I like HIM than the fact that I like his clothes. I wonder who the final three will be??? Please let it be Laura, Michael, and Uli....please send Jeffrey packing. They keep saying Uli has only one look....so does HE! He seems to love that pouty, brash, trashy kinda look. Somehow, I think a whole showing of his collection would look like a rave of misguided teenagers. I have no doubt that he is talented. I have no doubt that there is a market for his work. I only have one problem. I am very disappointed after watching tonights show. I feel like I did last season when Nick got eliminated. Like Nick, Kayne was one of my favorite designers and its so unfortunate to see that, of course, ratings are more important than talent. The ironic thing is that he got eliminated because of his "bad taste", but by reviewing his designs and comparing them with Jeffery's it is obvious to me that the only reason Jefferey has not been voted off is because of his rude comments and bad attitude, it brings the ratings up. I must say that as I young client Icould never see myself wearing any of Jeffreys designs.Who would?? Thanks for your time and I hope to see better decision making.

But the show won't be as cool without Kayne who is a brilliant Designer & from Oklahoma-like me! I'm shocked & really let down by the judges tonight. But its not the first time I've felt they were wrong.

I just wanted to ask a question. A few weeks ago I was watching an episode of Larry King where the show was about Project Runway. Going to a commercial it showed a scene of a pratically empty design room with clear design tables. And the only two designers in the the room were Jeffrey and Uli. Thier two tables had items on the table but there were no other designers. Was this a mistake or did the show give us a view of who will be the two final designers?

WOW! Always expect the unexpected. Vincent and Angela back again. Both of them were given a second chance, and in perfect Vincent and Angela style, the blew it.
I guess you really can't teach an old dog new tricks. Did either of these two people ever have any design talent? They must have used it all up in the interview process, because they didn't bring it with them to the show. All I can say to them is "what were you thinking????"
As for the rest, Michael is back, baby! His dress was wonderful and I know that he lost to Laura only because the judges were so happy that she took a chance and made something different. I'll admit I liked her dress and I like Laura, so I'm not mad at her. I think this win really moves Laura up in the standings.
Uli and Vincent need to break out of their molds. They need to produce something different, even if they're not 100% behind the style just to prove to the judges that they can. Who ever does it best is staying on the show. If they don't do something next week, one of them will be going home.

"oh my god" I was furious that the producers brought back Angelia and Vincent. It looked like a "wicked-plot" of some sort. They design and sew better than I do , it's obvious that Vincent and Angelia have a "little" talent, but they are way out of their league against the final five that remained! I felt sorry for Kayne, but he has proven that the harder the challenges become, he is somewhat out of his element. Laura's dress was just BEAUTIFUL, with Michael's a strong second. I am so tired of Uli's prints! She is obviously very talented, but I would like to see something different! Jeffery's dress looked like something a "hooker" would wear. My predictions for the final three are Laura, Uli and Michael.
Good luck Michael!

Am I the only one who noticed cocktail lenght was missing with most of the dresses? Poor Kayne, how did he miss?? Eye-sore Angelea was a no brainer she NEVER belonged @ project runway to begin with, was she the charity case?
And seriously vincent should not be designing -AT ALL. Now the rejects think they are good cause the outlasted some talented designers like Allison & Robert...bummer. Oh well it's down to Michael & Jeff, the ones who don't use a cookie cutter safety zone to design.

I loved Laura's dress and was so glad that she won. She did design something different but truthfully, I really don't understand why it is a problem when a designer has a particular style. What about Diane Von Furstenburg? She has made the same belted wrap dress for years. They are lovely and she is very successful. As for Kayne being auf'd, I was sorry to see him go. I would rather have said goodbye to Jeffrey.

First Tim, your comment about Angela's "dislocated shoulder" dress was hysterical. When I saw her dress I was thinking "Danger Will Robinson! Danger! Danger!"
You gotta love Kayne. I mean really...the guy's a trip. I hate that the white fabric on the back of his dress looked like he lost the original item and replaced it with a shoestring from a pair of Chucks. I'd rather him stay than Jeffrey just because of attitude. Kayne, you got a lot of positive comments on the dress last week. Use that dress as a springboard to do great things.
I LOVED Laura's dress. It was absolutely adorable. Sweet on the top, sexy on the bottom. It looked expensive, and remember--she did it in one day! She did a really good job. I just hope she doesn't go all hormonal on us before the end of the show, because now I definately see this coming down to Laura and Michael.
Michael is amazing, is he not? I can't remember which judge said it but he truly can put together the whole package--garment, accessories, hair and make-up. He sees the whole picture. This guy has a God-given gift, and if Michael doesn't win this season it'll be blasphemy. Thank you Michael for proving that the South can and does have fashion sense. (Hey, it wasn't Michael who made that plaid tablecloth and napkin dress last week).
It's not looking like Uli will be making it to the end. However she's obviously got a lot of fans, and her print dresses will do fabulously on the southeastern coast. Uli, stay true to yourself and give Lilly some sophisticated competition.
I just really, really don't like Jeffrey's stuff. What the hay were those things on that model's legs? Old chaps who'd lost their straps? That outfit was hideous. I'm pretty sure if his model agreed to it he'd make her go get multiple body piercings. How glamourous.
By the way Michael Kors, it's not nice to mock people on national TV--especially nice people. Uli should take one of those braided straps and string you up with it.

That guy needs to get over his issues w/ her. Oh my gosh! I could not believe all his energy about her - get over it! On the other hand, I do like Laura's dress, it's by far the most modern and 'hip' dress she's made. Woo!

Vincent and Angela were out again. As they should have been all along - once you're out - you're out. My choices for the final three are still there. Michael and Laura and I don't care. Too bad it will probably be Jeffrey because how can the judges let Uli get away with the same dress AGAIN next time? Jeffrey is a horrible person but at least he doesn't make boring clothes. Just ugly, ugly, ugly clothes. But evidently the judges aren't allowed to get rid of him.
Looking forward to next week.

I am disappointed in most of the dresses! The point of b&w is to use the color as pattern, in large swatches that either shape or dissect the figure in interesting ways. Busy prints and boring top/bottom contrast? So not using the material to its potential.

I liked Laura's dress a lot--I think it deserved to win (and it was obvious, the way she was shown angsting, that she'd win from the get-go). Michael's was also very pretty, and he actually used the colors to work with each other, not just BE there. Though I think the dress was a bit too plain and I'm not the biggest fan of the girdle-belt. But the added-on flowers were lovely.

I was ready for Uli to go. She really does keep making the same dress all the damn time. Always a halter neck or a faux-halter, with a dip meeting between the breasts and some kind of ropy-thing. Add a flowy skirt to the top she was wearing, and you'd have another one of her dresses.

Angela rightly went. I love anarchronistic fashion on modern clothing (by the way Angela, that was an Elizabethan collar, not Edwardian!), but ugh, not like that.

Vincent... eh. Sucks about the model, though.

Jeffrey... it was almost like stuff I'd like to wear, sans the whole top. I don't get it. If you have so much casual busyness going on at the bottom, why the 'ell pile on a fluffy baggy top? Either he shoulda kept the top and gone for a simple-line, sleek bottom, or kept the bottom (which I liked), and gone for a one-color top.

Kayne was rightly out--the ribbon was awful, though the front silhouette was lovely, and he does seem confused about how to make pretty tasteful things half the time. That said, if only he'd used MORE white ribbon, and not so circular-netting-weirdishly... A pretty, easy black sheath with white accents (maybe at the hem and on the bias) would've been lovely.

This really was a hard one to decide. laura's design wasn't a surprise in the sense of fabric choice but the design was equisitely and done to perfection. I suppose her age and life-experience combined to allow for that extra fizz of Paris/Josephne Baker she put into her dress. Chic and stunning.

It would have been very difficult not to award Michael another win too. His model embellised the dress with her professionalism. She knew exactly how to carry it off and show that dress off. Michael's design looked as it must have looked when he first put it to paper, and that's an accomplisment. Most designs usually look better on paper then on a runway.
I was very dissapointed to see Angela and Vincent brought back to compete. Somehow it just didn't seem fair to another designer who has more talent and creative genius than both Vincent and Angela and a few others combined.

ALYSON! Get it! Some excuse should have been given to bring her back for a second chance. The last thing viewers should have been subjected to were Angela's annoying little black and white let's-pick-up-tricks slutty number and Vincent's tired old, If-I-cover-her-up-with all that left-over material maybe no one will notice what all that boredom is underneath.
KAYNE again. Poor Kayne. I really like him and hope he wasn't too devasted by his loss. This competitin is't ruled by personality but by creation. Kayne's young. He's got far to go.
Uli? What's wrong with this woman? Who knows? More and more, she's looking like a South Sea Beach bum.

The biggest "fashion misstep" was by the producers! Insulting the audience thinking we would be charmed by this obvious cheat (reprising Vincent and Angela who should both have been gone weeks ago)to cover for the DQ of Keith.
This was not only un-entertaining, but was really unfair. The most logical step would have been to bring back Bonnie, the one who got kicked off before Keith left. Have her do some kind of special challenge to make up for the one she missed. Or just plain bring her back in.
There was a strong reaction to Allison leaving--they could have made a way for her to come back. It screwed up the dynamic of the show and I felt cheated out of a fair and interesting competition. Angela and Vincent turned in the same dreck that had been passing for weeks and went home anyway. Where's the drama in that? What a stupid episode.

I think folks would have been cheering. Regardless, they didn't last, which was no surprise.

I was very pleased to see Laura finally win one. Her dress was beautiful and she did what she needed to do--show that she could design something that looked like her but didn't get boring. I'm afraid Uli has GOT to start showing diversity in design or she will be out. It's looking like Michael, Jeffrey and Laura at this point, though Michael is also becoming boring with his bizarre look. His dress tonight was awful--she looked like a hooker heading out for a night on the town (see opening scene of Pretty Woman.)

Michael's design was, as always, fabulous. I think the judges pick of Laura was right, but I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd won. I expect him to win overall and I can't wait to buy from his line of clothing! Last week was a fluke and I'm glad the judges realized it.

Cocktails at an S&M bar. Michael's dress was interesting but not his best work. I did not like the midline, it looked cheap. It was well taylored so maybe that's why the weren't as harsh on him. Angela, well she does dance to a different drummer. The dress was bizzar, sort of Elvira mets Queen Elizabeth. Vincent's in all honesty was not that bad. The top was sort of awesome, but he lost it on the skirt. A couple inches at to the knee would not have hurt, and lose the wrap. Kayne, I sort of think you should have listened to the instructions better. The front of your dress was grand, sexy and well taylored. The back was, well, ugh. Black and white, means black and white, not black with a touch of white. You should have lost the webs on the back and just did a simple white strip at the waste and at the bottom of the dress. Still it was a good try. We will all miss ya. Best of luck in your new adventures.

I actually loved his couture dress too - although I can see Tim's point about the boning showing through the front (it wasn't as visible on TV as it was in some of the pictures). Anyway, Kane, I will miss you! Hopefully -much like one of my former faves Austin Scarlett - you will find your niche in the fashion world.

As for the rest of the show - Laura did deserve that win - the dress was amazing, although I have a hard time imaging her doing an entire collection that doesn't look much the same than many of the things she has already done.

Michael, however - he's amazing - he's been amazing since the beginning! The man has raw talent and taste and the ability to do wonderful things no matter what the challenge - even his one (couture dress) that didn't turn out so well, as the judges said, would've looked much better had he just tucked the top down.

I'll be amazed if he doesn't make it to the top three - he certainly deserves it - plus, I would LOVE to see a collection by him. And, again, out of all the previous contestants on prokect runway, Michael is also one of the most gracious contestants - both in winning and in losing. Michael continues to be exquisite. With the exception of the couture challenge, everything he's done could easily fit in Barney's or any top boutique.
Kayne, Kayne, Kayne. I want him designing for my baby brother, the drag queen. He's so over the top, that I couls sell his work to every queen I know. What he does, he does to such perfection. And such a sweet bitchy personality, to boot. Like the Irish say, he could tell you to go to hell, and you'd enjoy the trip.
Personally, I love Jeffrey, he's got such an edge, he's almost walking on razor blades, but I think he needs to be designing for people who get him, and appreciate him, rather than the masses. Power shared and all that.
Same with Uli. She has a signature style, and I'm sure people from the more tropical climes would eat her things up!
Hated Vincent. Talk about clueless arrogance, and continual fishing for compliments! Could he have been any more smarmy while talking to Catherine Malandrino???
Angela. Jeffrey pegged her correctly with the tag "artsy crafty macaroni-gluer". What was with those yo-yo rosettes all over everything? Signature my ass! A signature is essential, but make it something that's not embarassing! She just was unable to come up with anything else. So happy not to have to see her again. Served her and Vincent right to be brought back only to be "Auf'd" once more.

Congratulations Laura!!! It's great that you were able to move beyond your more mature style of design and create something for a younger person. Unfortunately, your comments about Angela's win for the Macy's challenge, was on the childish side. It was Angela's design that won that challenge. You and Michael were only there for the construction part. Your and Michael's input on the design was to tone down the "granny squares" which I thought enhanced the garment because you were able to convince her not to go overboard like she did on other challenges.

Michael, your dress was gorgeous. Only you and Laura were in the running to be the winner of this challenge. It's a shame you could not add a third win to your name, but you came in a close second on this challenge. On rate the runway, I gave both you and Laura a 5. It was just to hard to decide which one was the best.

Uli!!! Prints, prints, prints. When I saw you picking out another print fabric at Mood, I wanted to scream at the TV "NOT ANOTHER PRINT!!!" or "PRINT AGAIN!!!" I know you realize there are other types of fabrics at Mood. We've seen you create a beautiful solid color dress for the Couture challenge. Why must you almost always go for prints. Not every woman on the planet looks good in prints, and we all don't live in a tropical environment. Please, if you want to design for women around the world (and I assume you do otherwise why be on Project Runway), you must remember this fact.

Kane, what can we say? I knew you were in trouble when you said "black or white" while choosing your fabric at Moods. Especially after Angela had asked the question of Tim Gunn in the work room. The dress was beautiful but you did miss an important point in the challenge. Sorry to see you go. You have been fun to watch.

Jeffrey. What can be said about you except that you are a PIG (person intentionally gross). I have been hoping (and I'd pray if I was more religious) that you would be auf'd each and every week, especially since the "Everyday Woman" challenge when you were so disrespectful, mean and abusive to Angela's mother. You are a person whose soul is completely black and ugly. That was shown in tonight's episode when you sitting alone, problably because everyone there is tired of your attitude. Your attitude and behavior when you came off the runway (giving the finger in celebration, what is that?) is just so wrong. Was this the third or fourth time you were the almost auf'd the show? Learn some humility. You'll be a better person for it.

Angela and Vincent. What can we say? It was great that you were given a second chance, but since you designed and created in the same old way that you have approached most of the challenges, it was inevitable that you would not win.

Angela, that collar was just way to much. People are always looking around at parties and that collar would have required someone to turn their entire body in order to look to the side or behind themselves instead of just turning their head to the side.

Vincent, I actually had to open a second browser window to remind myself what your dress was like because it was so forgetable. That v-shaped stole/wrap was just wrong. I know you had to use the extra material, but maybe you should have tried something else. You did end up working with a handicap of a different size model because of Jia's injury. And it was obvious that the model you had to use was a size or two larger that Jia. But nothing could have saved that dress. You have consistently not given much thought to what a women would look like in the outfits that you have designed and created for Project Runway.

I just don't understand the judges' fascination with the "ugly-beautiful" asethetic that Jeffery puts on the runway. Yes, his couture-style gown was bold, edgy, and perfectly editorial, but he is still a one trick pony. This season seems to have a lot of "one trick ponies", what with Uli's consistent halter dresses in colorful patterns, Robert's later tendencies to play it boring, Laura's same level of sophistication, and Kayne's overkill reflex. I don't need to mention Angela or Vincent.

For the past two challenges, I really enjoyed watching Kayne's designs. This black dress that he was eliminated for could have been a contender for the win if he had added more white. On the couture challenge, his dress was my favorite, especially the exposed boning and the gorgeous skirt. As soon as he was pegged the overkill king, the judges refused to acknowledge the beauty of his designs.

Laura finally won! I cannot wait to see her and Michael's lines at Bryant Park. She has slowly overcome her initial stereotype of "mature woman" with a very chic baby doll dress. Even if Laura doesn't win, she has to come in second place to Michael.

Whatever, I don't think it will matter much because it is clear to me that Michael should win it all, and I predict in a few years, maybe sooner, he will have a line of very marketable clothes that we will all be buying at high-end Dept Stores one day....you go Michael! I think he will be the first really major success to come out of the show, and he deserves it.

One final comment, I think Jeffery was not eliminated because of his previous wins, which I felt were both ridiculous designs , particularly the gown...once you got past the horrible fabric, it looked so familiar to me, as if I had seen it before in a magazine or television commercial or something...just can't put my finger on it. The judges are correct, Kayne is not ready, and made a really careless mistake tonight...heck even flower girl Angela got it right and even clarified it...major lapse, and too bad for Kayne. Jeffery will probably make it if they send 3 to fashion week. I can live with Jeffery as long as they don't send Laura and all her knock off basic designs, which are well constructed....but then she is an architect and must be good at constructing things, it does not necessarily mean she is creative or innovative.

This challenge was a good idea (bringing back two contestants to re-compete) but the wrong two designers returned! Certainly, Vincent had no business coming back; his designs have never been strong, and his skills seem weak. He had the nerve to blame his model for the way his dress looked: "Javi overpumped the dress and made it look shorter..." Puh.Leeze. Get real, Vincent. I did appreciate his comments about Jeffrey, though; Jeffrey is a mean, insecure, stingy little man, and Vincent finally saw it and called it.

Angela has stronger construction skills, although the fabric she used this time showed every single cutting and sewing flaw. I just think her little design quirks -- her rosettes and furbelows -- are just a crutch for her; they substitute for a broad point of view. She depends on gimmick instead of design.

Jeffrey. What can I say. Well ...I guess I can say hooker. He wanted it to look LA -- well, it looked LA, alright -- Pretty Woman on Hollywood Blvd. before she met Richard Gere! Young and edgy? I don't think so. I guess the good thing is that hooker fashion is timeless, so it'll never go out of style. Unlike your neck. Hooboy, is that gonna look stupid when you're 50!

I'm sorry to see Kayne go, but I think he has gotten all from this show that he can get. He got to showcase his strengths; his winning design for the Miss Universe pageant fits right in with his main business, which is pageant design; his couture gown from last week will help his business. But he is not an all-around designer, and there's no point in him trying to stretch out beyond pageant gowns in front of the whole world.

I hated Uli's dress. The pattern, the cut, the neckline, the sleeves ...none of it worked for me. And that scarf-thingy was awful; it looked like a snake had swallowed about 8 mice. Uli is also one of those people who, after all this time, looks like she's running out of ideas and doesn't really have the range.

Michael, though -- he does have the range. Once again, he was my favorite, although I'm very glad that Laura won, and she deserved the win. Her dress was lovely, and she deserves some props for her good work throughout the show. But Michael hasn't ever been in the bottom 3, his designs are always strong, and he has done it all on this show: sportswear, evening wear, everyday wear -- he's done everything well except couture, and even that was better than Vincent's. Can't wait to see you at Olympus Fashion week, Michael, and I'm rooting for you to go all the way!

This once -- just this once -- I have to say Tim got it wrong; Tim, you were against giving Michael a shot, in the beginning. Thank God for Chloe Dao!

Boring challenge. Using all the fabric was stupid. Waste of time bringing back Angelia. Vincent got screwed when his model was in an accident and the new one was larger than what he designed for. The final four are going to be tought to pick three. Michael is for sure in. Uli/Jeffrey/Laura all do the same thing week in and week out so who ever falters in the final will get the axe.

Tonight the judges go it so very right...I loved Laura's dress and once again Michael's was elegant and beautiful. I thought Kane, Angela & Vincent should have been the ones to go. And I couldn't agree more with the judges opinions regarding Uli and Jeffery's designs. They look the same week after week, and it will be interesting to see which one makes it to the final three. I am keeping my fingers crossed that both Michael (my favorite) and Laura will definately make it into the final three. I can't wait for next week!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! You bring back Angela, (who I liked) and Vincent, who I (learned to) like and got rid of Kayne, whos designs were unreasonably poo-pooed by the powers that be but kep the insufferable Jeffery who is not only a bully but suffers from cranial-rectal syndrom? I am convinced it is not who is the best designer but who can bring in the best ratings. At this point I can only hope that Laura wins. She and Michael are the best remaining.

Dear Tim,
I was horrified to see both Angela and Vincent back. I guess it must have been because you need a show since Kieth left, but gasp! Those two!?!? How much I would have liked to see Allison and Robert. It was painful. Vincent says he makes beautiful music?????? What mushroom did he crawl out from under? Angela is nuts too, but in kind of a giggly less ick way. I was glad to see Laura on the show was much less frazzled than Laura in the teasers. She finally got a win and deserved it. She has deserved it 4 other times too. Well, she triumphs at last! Yay! Michael is purely amazing and versitile and if he doesn't win it all there is no justice in the world. Uli is going to put out a same old same old collection, but please let her be in the top 3 and let Jeffery (tatoo tantrum boy) go home to be snide with people who choose to live with it. Kayne's loss made my 12 year old daughter cry. She is still innocent enough to think that a nice person should get a break and a bully should get lost. If Jeff has talent, and I am willing to admit he might, it is so deeply buried in his messy brutal personality I can't take the trouble to care.
I have deep respect for you but I can see that this show is wearing on you. Thanks for using restraint.

I think Michael should have won this time. I thought the dress was better than Laura's and I don't like the fact that Laura drinks champange while pregnant. That is a big NO-NO!!!

Jeffrey's couture dress was inspired by his model & the costumes of the ladies of Guadaloupe. Look at any travel brochures for Guadaloupe! The locals use lots of bright yellow cotton plaid & also often tie fabric or scarves to wear around their bodies or heads. Mostly French tourists go to this Caribean island, so Jeffery probably thought their style would appeal to a French judge. His NY model really sold the dress!

What a wild decision, to bring past winners back! The show never ceases to amaze and/or infuriate me (in a good way!) ... That being said, this challenge only made it more clear why Angela and Vincent were cut in the first place: Angela reverted too much to her ruffly style (and what was with that weird shrug?), while Vincent's was just a mess.
I was so happy for Laura's win -- finally, she's stepped out of the box and created something fun and youthful. Michael's look was also beautiful.
Kayne I think made a valiant effort to tone down his outrageousness; though it didn't quite work, with the exception of Vincent and Angela who were already eliminated for not winning, I don't think his dress was the worst one there (I feel it should have been Jeffrey, whose outfit was just plain ugly and inapproriate; Kayne's dress, at least, was very nice from the front).
Uli, I'm beginning to seeing more and more that maybe she's a one-trick pony (we get it, she lives in Miami and loves prints) -- yes, a talented one, but I'm getting tired of seeing the same style from her each week. I originally wanted to see her in the final, but now I don't care if it's her or Jeffrey. I would, however, be disappointed if either Laura or Michael didn't make it to the final -- both of them deserve to be there.

With regards to the “Black and White” contest, I am confused as to why Vincent and Angela were brought back. Is it not apparent that the only reason Angela had a win was because she was teamed up with Michael and Laura? Is it not apparent that the only design concept that she has that we can identify with is “Audrey Hepburn” and had she not seen that picture in an earlier contest, we would have seen more of what Laura labeled “full blown boogey of puff (can’t recall how she phrased it but it still has me laughing)”. The cocktail dress was a knock off of her remake of the Audrey Hepburn dress, but because she has no design aesthetics and nothing to fall back on, Dracula was able to seize the design. Although Vincent is a nice person, his designs are horrific. Sleeves are a mystery to him and for someone who claims to have studied couture design techniques; he created the worst dress ever. How did he not know that the back of his dress was more appropriate for the front and vice versa? For such a basic dress, how did he not have time to hand stitch the hem?

At this point, I think the strongest four remain, Michael, Laura, Uli and Jeffery. To me, they are the best at tailoring their designs. Michael has consistently been a contender and has been versatile throughout the trials. I have to admit that Jeffery’s designs had to grow on me, and although I think he is very talented, he’s also very scary. His attitude towards others is horrible. I think pregnancy is the reason we have been inundated with empire waist garments from Laura but there is no question regarding her talent. Although Uli is also talented, she too continues to show us the same dress.

What was Jeffery thinking!!!Maybe next time Jeffery u will be auf'd.

Finally, someone asks if Jeffrey can do anything else but rock and roll. I thought his outfit was in poor taste, and way off the challenge idea.
-I love Michael, but I don't know why everyone was in ecstacy over that dress. It looked like something I'd make for my daughter's Barbie doll--very simple.
-And poor Kayne-what a sweetheart--if I were in a pageant, I'd go to him first thing, but for anything else, I'm sorry Kayne, forget it! Sorry to see you go, honey, but we are down to the best, and it was your time.
-I'm for Michael, Laura, and Uli. While both Uli and Jeffrey can only make one type of clothes, Uli is the one that is sensitive to her client, and the one that will be the most successful because of it. Jeffrey, you are just too bitter and twisted to make it without a severe attitude adjustment.
-Love ya Tim!

Well, tonight's show was a surprise...what an unrealistic requirement to use every scrap of fabric. What designer EVER works w/ that restriction? Yeah, yeah, I get it.....teach 'em to cut economically and all that. Still, I half expected one of the designers to simply EAT the leftovers!!!

I am so impressed w/ the ability of these talented people to design and execute fashions in less than 24 hours! It seems unreal, and they do such a great job of it.

Gawd, those Olsen twins!!!!! Even they would have been better than this melodrama of dragging Angela and Vincent back for another go!!! Did we just need to extend the season? Did aufing one unexpectedly through things off? This is becoming like a soap opera, where characters never really die!

I think the producers have lost what slim grasp of reality they owned. Oh well, it will soon be over.... *all* over.

Vincent The nicest thing I saw from you was that (was it???) amber pendent you wore. That was sharp!!! I thought your cocktail dress looked good under construction. On the runway, it looked more like a swimsuit. Good job on using up an extra half-yard of fabric. However, you probably should have eaten it instead. LOL Good lck in your next career.

Angela Ambitious, but contrived. Seems she channeled Laura somewhere around the neckline. Stuffing the leftovers into the purse? Please!!!! Go home and stay there.

Michael's dress was fabulous!!! Polished, clean; I'd wear it. He's definitely for the final. Cannot wait to see his complete line on the runway.

Kayne - loved the front drape. The white lacing at the back wasn't his best, but satisfied the palette requirement very well. It was young, fresh and very different from his previous work. Well done! You just go put your fashion house in order, and I'll be there to order!!! Sure would have loved to see your complete collection.

Uli Uh, oh! What was she thinking????? Of using up every scrap, I guess. This is one time her long, flowing skirts would have come in very handy.

Laura Jeeze, the "Black and White" theme was right up her alley, no? She made a nightgown! And she WON????

Baby Jeffie designed for Barbarella. Even his model looked embarrassed.

Can't wait for the final show.... then it's off to something that actually makes sense, for me!

The obviously rigged judging, the artificial maneuvering for ratings, the emphasis on the catty back-biting.... it's all 'way too much and Sky is going elsewhere.

Tim was consistently the very best part of this show.... someone suggested that you host your own show, Tim, and I'd like to second that. Enjoyed you very much!

Klum, that gorgeous gown you wore during the explanation of the challenge looked great on you! Lovely print. Where was it when you needed something to glide gently over your figure, hmmmm??? Too bad about the black suit in the runway show ...

Um, did anyone else wonder what Angela did in a past life to deserve all this? First, they pair her mom with Jeffrey who hates Angela and he makes her mom cry. Then, the very next episode, Jeffrey taunts her endlessly and then he wins and she loses, flying to Paris and having to leave immediately. Then she gets brought back again tonight just to be put down by Laura and ripped by the judges about how bad her work is. This girl has some serious bad kharma to work off for something!

Please! Why are the judges so mean to Uli? She makes beautiful amazing clothes!! All the trend watchers come to my hood and to brooklyn to see what's in fashion, then a few YEARS later, we see designers like Michael Kors making that stuff for the mainstream shopper. Uli is doing what we love to wear NOW! They just don't see it yet. Is Nina jealous of her?

I maybe off here but I really thought Kayne's dress was terrific. I understand that he did not use enough white but, he did use some. Jeffery used black and white and made a tacky hooker dress that would be a disaster on anyone!! His model is adorable and looked like she was "working". You know what I mean!! Laura and Micheal, yes I think Kayne was #3 this week stole the show! All beautiful and very different.

It was a bit cruel to bring back Angela and Vincent since they both stayed longer than anyone would have bet on. I actually think Allison is the one deserving sole for a "re-match".

Please, Please let the fashion gods hear this plea and let Jeffery finally "get his" before next week. He is a rotten little boy from every angle. It is a shame that is no sign of hope that his personality is anything but nasty!

Good luck Uli, Micheal and Laura...I think you are a great final three!!!!

So sad to see Kayne go, but it had to happen sooner or later. He has such a great personality and positive outlook, even on getting auf'd by Heidi and ripped apart by Tim Gunn during the recycling project (to be fair, if you're read these comments at all, Tim, he needed it! Thank you for steering him away from the kid-craft skirt!) He also approached the matter of Keith's pattern books so delicately and well, in my opinion.

With his outgoing nature and design alternating between uber-chic and uber-over-the-top, we're sure to see more of Kayne in the future, and I wish him the best of luck, as I'm sure many people who read Tim's Take do!

What a cruel trick to bring back Angela and Vincent... so glad they are OUT again! Laura listened to her model and made her dress more youthful by adding the sleeves. Nice job and I liked the way she used all of her fabric without stuffing it in a handbag like Angela did. Michael as always rocked it! Uli was Uli and Jeffrey was Jeffrey. Sad to see Kayne go. But the judges had no choice with his last minute use of while.

Wow! In my opinion Inviting past designers who won some of the competitions then were out

It didn't make a difference, they are not in the final three, nor should they be since they do not have the same ability
as Michael, Laura, Uli and the designer
with the lousy attitude and narrow focus
on rock and roll that he does so well.
Angela and Vincent are sweet people and will be missed, but putting a basket
on a models head and thinking it is fashion as in episode one is memorable but not fashion. Angela is not a jettsetter as she knows and I can see her as a merchandiser for a store that carries rosettes but not new fashion.
They will do very well in their careers.
But the final three should be Uli, Michael and Laura. Kayne in my opinion will do well in his boutique and since he is kind should hire Jeff so he has a job since no one else will want to work with
him.

I felt a little bad for Vincent, because of what happened to his model. Jeffrey simply doesn't get it and never will. Not to mention what the televison shows as a prima dona attitude.

I am a painter (artist) and make a good living at it and no one has to have a prima dona attitude in the creative arts...that is something those in the arts have manifested themselves to make up for maybe bad work? I don't appreciate it in other artists and I certainly don't appreciate it in fashion designers or any other creative arts.

Could have knocked me over with a glance when it actually DID happen - only it was Vincent! Not Keith. (And I had just put my gag reflex back on the shelf after Vincent was 'eliminated' last week).
