Is Kelley Johnson Still in Touch with His Charter Guest Crush?
Kelley Johnson reveals his current status with Kelsey the charter guest.
Bravotv.com: Have you and Kelsey been in touch since the charter? Do you have any regret about keeping it completely professional?
Kelley Johnson: Kelsey and I did keep in touch for a bit after the show, but even after it was more of a friendship than anything. I don't regret keeping it completely professional in the least. I was on Valor to do a job, not get involved with the guests. So in the end I am completely happy with how I handled the situation!
Bravotv.com: Have you been on charters where the crew has become involved with the staff? If so, how did it work out?
KJ: I have been on one charter where crew was involved with guests. It was actually me that was involved with the guests. I had just had my heart broken by my ex-girlfriend. My boss/the owner of the boat knew what was going on through the chief stew. We were all a very close crew and the owner of the boat treated us like family. He invited a bunch of girls my age on the boat while he was out in town, and told us to have fun for the day. It was a crazy day, I stayed sober, but the sentiment of it was really nice. I will never forget that boat and all the awesome times I had with the crew and my boss.
Bravotv.com: What do you think about Trevor saying your interaction with the charter guest was hypocritical given your rule?
KJ: I wasn't taking my shirt off for the girls. We as the deck crew were asked to come take pictures. I didn't cross any lines while taking pictures. I think Trevor has "small man syndrome" and needs to make himself feel better. He was like salt in a wound, he did nothing to make his situation with the crew better. Even his comment saying he could teach me how to be a bosun... This kid needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror before he opens his mouth again. Maybe looking back on all of this will help him make some life course corrections.
